The tensioner control system provides all of the controls, displays, and signals required for Independent operation or coordinated operation with other Tensioners or machines. Any operational tensioner may be selected as the master for tandem operation. The system features both manual speed control and automatic tension control with smooth bump-less transfer between operating modes. For tandem operation, the control system divides and maintains equal loads on each machine ensuring accurate tracking between Tensioners. The inherent accuracy and responsiveness of the system ensures that there is no reduction in the performance of the Tensioners in tandem operation.

Options can be provided for remote display or logging any available tension parameters. Line Tension, Average Line Tension, Payout Speed, and Payout Distance can be provided as scaled 0-10 VDC analog signals. Other ranges, current loop outputs, or RS-232 serial port outputs can also be provided for logging to a remote computer.
